This 196-meter JW Marriott Hotel in Changsha was recently completed and became an eye-catching landmark in Changsha, known as “Star City”. As a brand specialized in luxury hospitality lighting, Aero has provided entire architectural lighting solutions for this new hotel, and help it to sparkle in the city.

As part of Marriott International’s portfolio of classic luxury hotel brands, JW Marriott in Changsha inherits the JW traditional characteristic: “provide extraordinary facilities and services for bringing the highest-level experience of comfort and luxury to their guest”.

This hotel is designed by HBA from Singapore, and the lighting facilities are supported by WIN Design Consultant (Shanghai) LTD. The entire design of this hotel is inspired by the splendid mountains, rivers, and the social insight of Hunan. Within the hotel, guests will notice that many details are designed according to those famous landmarks such as Orange Island, Aiwan Pavilion, etc. The design in this hotel is the perfect combination of traditional aesthetics of the region and high-end modern touches.

Upon the arrival in hotel, guests can directly access to the Sky Lobby on 35th floor by elevator. The Changsha historic building elements are infused into the natural color tone and the simple architectural lines. The lighting designers highlight the wall paintings by using Aero’s AKIN strip lights and AMEZ wall washers. The cityscape outside the windows and the interior traditional style are separated by the screen, which is the interaction between eastern classical and western modern.

The Sky Lobby comes with floor to ceiling windows, and its interior design has integrated both modern and traditional styles. The ALFIE ceiling lights and AKIN strip lights that supplied by Aero provide the general lighting for the lobby, besides create comfortable atmosphere for the guests. Through the windows, guests can see the spectacular views of Xiang River and Yuelu Mountain that located on the west bank of the river, also the skyline of Changsha; which can let them stay in this relaxed state for a moment.

JW Marriott Hotel in Changsha features 287 elegant guest rooms in total, which already includes 14 suites. With the decoration of mini led ceiling lights, the color of guest rooms matches the color tone in the Sky Lobby. All the guest rooms are designed with no main lights, all the illumination is provided by Aero AKIN strip lights that located around bedside, desk or the sink. Comfortable lighting effect help guests to relax in the hotel and feels at home.

The original paintings that inspired from the picturesque scenery of Hunan have perfectly demonstrate the beauty of natural landscape, which can remind the guests of the tradition and culture of Changsha.

All guest rooms in this hotel are equipped with floor-to-ceiling windows in the purpose of infusing the spaces with natural light, also offering spectacular views of the Xiang River and the skyline of Changsha in order to provide guests with tranquil and cozy spaces for resting.

The furnishings in hotel restaurant are elaborately arranged. The artistic and elegant Chinese restaurant is located at the height of 196-meter. The ceiling that decorated with AKIN types LED strip lights looks smooth and graceful, also the paintings on the wall are more attractive under illumination.

The hotel amenities include the Grand Ballroom that occupies 650 square meters and 7-meter high, also with many small banquet halls and meeting rooms. Aero Auto Tracking Light (ATL for short) were installed as well in this project, helping for more flexible, easy and convenient lighting focusing and scenario setting up.
